GA/CiA Remarkable 5

(for more information on this scholarship, click here)

The Alma Hunt Amazing GA/CiA Scholarship was established to honor the legacy of Miss Alma Hunt, and
celebrates the mission focus and cooperative efforts of Girls in Action (GA) and Children in Action (CiA) groups in Virginia. Five GA or CiA groups are selected each year and are known as the WMUV Remarkable 5. One of these will be selected as the Alma Hunt Amazing GA/CiA Group.

WMUV is pleased to announce that the 2010 Remarkable 5 are: Beulah Church (CiA); Bonsack Church (GA); Buckingham Church (CiA); Hillcrest Church (GA), and Massaponax Church (CiA). These five groups are actively learning about missions, praying for missions and doing missions.

From the Remarkable 5, Massaponax Baptist Church, in Fredericksburg, has been selected as the Alma Hunt Amazing CiA Group for 2010. Teresa Bowman, CiA leader, describes the children as “a very diverse group that always comes together as a family” in learning about global missions efforts and participating in projects to help others in their community. Massaponax Children in Action will receive a $250 scholarship to engage in a mission service opportunity that impacts the world for Christ.

WMUV promotes missions education for children and supports churches and leaders who train, nurture,
and mentor children in missions learning and involvement. Click on the picture of each group below to learn more about them.
